Luberon Valley:
The Luberon Valley, famous for it's picturesque towns and villages many of them dating from Medieval times was thrust into the spotlight by Peter Mayle's book "A Year in Provence" in the 1990's, whether or not you have read this or any of his other books matters very little, the Luberon Valley is one of those places that is hard not to fall in love with, with it's fields of fragrant Lavender and Vineyards separating the old villages, many of them perched on hilltops with winding cobbled streets and beautiful town squares, you can easily lose yourself in it's charm.

Local Markets:
The Provence markets are renowned for their colourful, fresh local produce, the nearest market to L'Oustalado is in Coustellet, it is held every Sunday in the Holiday Season and is well worth a visit if you have time, if you are driving there it is a good idea to get there early as parking is at a premium later in the day!
